Agree 100% and I adore comaps and frantically map in my area but… we need to be real that OSM is still functionally beta for many locations. 1000% use pure OSM if you can and contribute to make the map functional, but as far as setting expectitions know that even if the map isn’t ready where you live today, it may not be that way for long.

And yes, I am jealous of people who can use comaps seamlessly. I often have to use google to find locations then drop them into comaps since our road network is reliable but POIs are not.

Granted. But there are plenty of users who probably shouldn’t be trusted with any digital accounts, but they still have to use them for daily life. If we can make it harder for them to mess up we should.
