On the off chance that you’re not trolling, it should be noted that Climate Town has an episode on this very subject wherein he demonstrates that walkable neighbourhoods make much, much more money for a city, and that in fact, suburban spaces are a net loss on city budgets:
It’d be a terrible shame if the street were to suddenly have to undergo repairs forcing them to close a lane to car traffic but somehow left open enough for bikes…
