Slime rancher 2 feels like it has more grind to it.

I’ve been playing Slime Rancher 2 for awhile and I feel it’s more grindy than the first game. Maybe it’s been too long since I played the first game but I don’t recall having to spend so much time hunting down resources.

Oh man, I haven’t played the second one, but the first one I felt was pretty grindy. Are you saying that it’s even more grindier in the second one? That’s disappointing I ultimately stopped once I unlocked the research area in the first one because the game became too much of a grind.

edit: I typod. I’m comparing the first to the second, saying the first was pretty grindy.

@Pika IIRC, the first game had devices you could build that would harvest resources for you. In the second game, you harvest them yourself using the vacuum. If you weren’t keeping track of where the resource nodes were located while exploring, you’ll find yourself having a hard time getting them when you start needing them for the end game stuff. End game drones can harvest resources automatically but they’re slow. In hindsight it wouldn’t be so bad if I focused more on resources from the start.

I never quite made it to the drones part, but I remember the machines that could harvest resources for you.

I only played the first one and never had the feeling I would want to play a second one. Towards the “endgame” already the first felt quite grindy to me, and that was enough for my personal taste.
