I am just curious about people’s taste here, since this community looks sane compared to other “loony-toons” gaming subs or forums online.

You don’t need to explain yourself just name them.

Thanks

Its about the message, the art that shows a new perspective to our world. What you are looking for imo is fun.

I guess that’s my biggest issue; it didn’t show any new perspective. It was very predictable and didn’t tell a new story, at least for me coming into it as a seasoned PC gamer. “Middle eastern imperialism is bad” doesn’t really hold up when compared to a game like Deus Ex that predated it by years.

I can see how it would have been great for a console gamer in that era, but it’s drastically overhyped and doesn’t compare one iota to the other games listed in the original comment. It’s a C tier game. Go back and play it today, very little holds up.

I get what you’re trying to say. A game should exploit and utilise it’s unique mechanics as a medium to deliver the message; otherwise it may as well just be a movie or a long cutscene. I haven’t played it yet but it’s on my to-do list.
