Interesting to hear about how the DS was perceived in china, and how much more popular the PSP was. Also DQ9 is a great game, very cool how much effort was put into the Chinese translation.
Closest thing I have to an interesting DS story was when I took my DSi apart to paint it like the new 3DS Ambassador consoles. I killed the top screen at some point in the process, so had to get a replacement and disassemble the console and feed the ribbon cable through again. Quite the pain, but it worked and I enjoyed the finished product. But less than a year after that I just bought the new 3DS in white and got knockoff ambassador faceplates. Love the look of that system. So the DSi has been collecting dust, but I’ve been regularly using that 3DS ever since.

I don’t think it would really be any louder than a normal water cooling setup, since you need fans on your radiators anyway. It would just be hideously inefficient compared to radiators, so higher temps. It would be adding like at least 4 thermal transfer boundaries, and heat pipes don’t really work until they get to their operating temperature. So best case scenario, it would probably run a couple degrees warmer than just regular air cooling.
