Meh, nothing of value is lost with that one. They’re an unreasonable ass who sticks their head in the sand and argues in bad faith.
They’re also really easy to rage bait, which is hilarious and sad.

Nothing will change until companies stop depending on software written for Windows 95 and kept up to date by the vendor just barely enough to keep working.

There’s always the torrents

What about coherence?

We don’t have CL in Quebec. I mean we do, but no one uses it, it has never been a thing here.

I’m open to another suggestion regarding buying and selling used goods. As previously stated, I don’t see a viable alternative. All the good stuff is on Marketplace. Very few bother to sell outside of that platform anymore, and few look at other platforms.

I didn’t need any form of ID, I post “anonymously”. I use Firefox’s containers feature, I use a fake name and I strictly only use marketplace and messenger.

I was forced to create a Facebook account to buy/sell second hand stuff. No one browses Kijiji, shit just stays there for ages until someone lowballs you 3 months later. Same for LesPACs.
On Marketplace, my stuff was gone within 2 days.
Fucking sucks. I really hate Meta. I held out for as long as I could, but if you want to buy / sell second hand goods, the competition is 100% dead, at least in Montreal.

Biased source, bad article.
No, vibe coding is what happens when a new technology spawns, and everyone is in a gold rush to find out what they can use it for.
LLM assisted software development is probably here to stay though. I’m also learning the ropes of this agentic stuff, where it works and where it falls flat as I always try to fully understand and take ownership of the code I put in my commits. At the end of the day, it needs to look like I coded it.
On an aside, I’m hopeful we can figure out an ethical way to do model training that respects licensing, such as only training on MIT licensed code. Such a rabbit hole the ethics are.
