i think it’s more like the US populace is deeply brainwashed by Truck and SUV marketing. If we (collectively) wanted efficient vehicles and purchased based on that, that’s what they’d make. But they make sure that’s NOT what we want.

There is at least one in the metro area but it’s very far from where I am. I have been to Freddy’s in other cities though, pretty good.

steak n shake is one of the things i really miss after moving to the DC area. other fancy burger places like five guys held me over for a while, but they don’t hit like steak n shake.

okay so a few times a year your meal isn’t exactly when you want to eat. or you can’t eat exactly what you want to eat.

i’ll take that over having to go to a gas station weekly to fill up and pay $50 for the privilege.

only the 20%-80% range is usable. Your 300mi+ range just turned into 180mi of usable range.

but at the same time, charging 20%-80% is A LOT faster than charging 0-100%. a road trip plan optimized for time almost never plans charge stops above 80% for that reason. it’s better to stay in that charging sweet spot.

Also you do (or should) start trips at 100% charge.

call your dealer and ask if you can cancel the service plan for a prorated refund.

if you get into an accident on a road trip you’re fucked regardless of what car you have.

i usually eat on the road anyway. with gas cars i’d go through a drive through after the gas station.

a 20 min EV charge is enough time to get food and eat on the road.

also charging 10-50% is a LOT faster than charging 50-90%.

EVs still use brake pads. lol

not really. almost all EV breaking is regen, unless you drive like shit.

they might as well just cut to the chase and turn 2k into a subscription service.

i think it’s usually licensing issues, especially music. Or it could just be to force anyone interested in NBA 2k to buy the newer versions.
