God I wish one of these megacorps would bite on suing one of these projects, if only so there is precedent of punishment for AI code-theft. The fact that they won’t touch them for fear of damaging their golden goose means it’s de-facto fair use.

250mb?? can that even fit a web browser?

People are making this to be much more of a fuss than it really is. It’s actually fairly easy:
You can write the linux iso to the NVMe, boot the NVMe, then write the linux install onto the same NVMe. This requires the linux iso load itself into RAM on boot, which is most of them, but not all.

microfluidics is so hot right now
dmidecode is a tool for reading loads of platform registers, it is obviously not the only way to do it, or even the intended way really. Riot has almost certainly implemented the functionality from scratch in their anticheat, it’s a relatively trivial thing to do.

Those are both GPU-dependent, and certainly not single-threaded.

Hasn’t really been for years, and minecraft isn’t a terribly hard game to run anymore anyway.

Saying the first new CPU on a new node is fastest is uninteresting from a technical standpoint, as there isn’t any competition yet, even if it is not inaccurate.
