Faie enough.
Eh, I mean I did look at some tutorial but also some forums and at the archwiki for xorg, Idk if I looked at the one for sddm but it doesn’t say anything different from what I saw, I kinda looked into the gentoo wiki for rootless xorg too or whatever but that didn’t help much.
I am not expecting you to 100% know everything and help it’s like well maybe someone might know what’s wrong. idk.
Oh sorry, I transcribed it from my phone it doesn’t actually have that one typo :p
sddm just says it failrd to change owner of the socket if i do sddm in the console.

16·4 days agoI cracked my offline games and mostly stopped using steam. :p
It’s not even for pirating I don’t want to depend on those guys to own my game which I guess is piracy I think, but anyway.

1·4 days agoYe, you can only install 3 apps without exploits tho (I used to use lara until i broke my phone doing something very dumb and had to update it(the hardware broke not the software) it does only work for like a bit of 17 to a bit of 26 or something, before that you can probably jailbreak anyway) but you can use livestore and livecontainer as 1 app, livecontainer lets you install multiple apps in 1 container, basically bypassing the limit, problem is they’re on the same sandbox so be careful with personal info and that. It also doesn’t work for all apps.
You can also make shortcuts to apps inside livecontainer(s). Also you do need a pc or laptop for the initial setup but it’s actually mostly incredibly easy unless you’re the kind of people who don’t know to install a .exe file (I’ve seen people do that(i don’t even main windows))
Also idk if apple is trying to break this stuff but I’ve heard some stuff breaks sometimes, I didn’t experience it cuz I didn’t actually update my devices but yeah.
You normally can’t use JIT but you can activate it but it does use the vpn slot and you need to sideload something like stickdebug I think, idk if that’s what people are still using nowindays, it also takes the vpn slot to install apps. you need a specific vpn app that’s on the app store.
Idk if this was very useful, specially after 13h but yea.

Otherwise you can just use an individous instance in your browser pr whatevs.
Sorry if that isn’t related at all tho lol.

Games@lemmy.world•Denuvo sues anonymous game cracker ‘voices38’ over alleged DRM circumvention — seeks damages after Anti-Tamper protections bypassed in 26 gamesEnglish
0·22 days agohow do you even sue someone that’s anonymous.

No apparently you don’t need to replace it, if you do it just starts it as root. I can start xfce4 with startxfce4 as user but i can’t start sddm as user from console, only as root. I did try changing it to x11-(username) and just (username) it was the same as just doing x11 or not having the file, although I could also have done something wrong there.
At this point just changing the dm might be easier tbh. Although idk if that woulf actually work. I believe it starts x with the sddm user and not your actual user because, well, you’re not logged in
