Remember when the disclaimer “please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery” was practically ubiquitous on mail order packages? It’s almost like that was a SANE way to run a logistics network!

well, they are being trained my the management, and as we all know these types wan’t 150% of the benefit with 25% of the work.

I’d suggest that the 1929 stock market crash get an entire unit in elementary school, High school, and every economics course in college. Do the same for the 89’ crash and the Dot com Bubble. Really drill it into these young entrepreneurs how Speculating in the stock market NEVER EVER leads to anything good. It’s a Faustian bargain. The consequences WILL arrive; not a matter of “if” but “when.”

there are some very narrow uses where AI is actually useful. Most of what it’s used for is junk though. The early internet was the same way, but at least that was charming about it. I doubt that a website comprised of 1200 clipart hamster gifs and a pitch toned clip of a song from Disney’s Robin Hood is going to hack a competing Sites mainframe looking for ways to inflate its page veiws.
The AI bubble will burst, companies will actually sit down, pull their heads out of their asses, and actually apply it to something useful, as it was originally conceived.

the entropic logo at the bottom is not giving me optimistic emotions
we wrote the rules of the internet, and while some were In-jokes about life on 4Chan, a lot of them are just plain truisms. But the language makes Gen Z have the buttpains, so here we are…

I always check pornhub “for science” ;)

This reminds me of the guy who uploaded his entire collection of DBZ to PornHub because they could give a rats ass about copyright infringment.

Reddit is an AI dumpster fire. There are still decent communities, but the glory days are behind it (the 20teens). Reddit circa 2012-15’ was peak. Now it’s an AI slop infested milquetoast facebook alternative. Damn shame. Hopefully the user base will finally realize the ship has sailed straight up it’s own corporate butthole, and seek alternatives, such as this one.
this is what I’m saying. You may make a fortune but it will always be dependant on a house of cards built on shifting sands.
