1 day agoAh, technology. I hope they upgrade to an 8K60 screen?
I no longer understand computers, what they’re for, how they work, or what people do with them.
We have made computing non-deterministic. We’re busy giving sentience to refrigerators that can’t keep ice cream frozen.
I want to live in a cabin far away from people with a Commodore 64 and a CB radio.

Have they tried adding AI? 3D printing? Quantum computing? Space based solar power?
11·5 days agoNo… the boomers were born and it was already that way. Could you please re-evaluate your knee-jerk hatred and maybe get some historical understanding? When was the car invented? When were highways built? How old were the boomers then?

1·1 month agoOn 8 bit CPUs we just “refactor” the circle to have 256 degrees so you can easily use 8 bit math.
New store near me has problems with the scales, it charged me $0.07 for four bananas. Luckily nothing really checks for coherency.
