I, too, have spent my childhood in a country where the PSP was greatly more popular than the DS (or any other Nintendo console).

Looking back on it, I really don’t think the PSP was at all impressive. But it definitely showed there’s great interest for handheld consoles, especially in countries where Nintendo wasn’t really selling theirs.

Earlier this year I got a 3DS for the first time, and it quickly became one of my favourite systems of all time.

I don’t have any DSes, and I don’t think I’m going to spend money on one, since a 3DS can play all DS games. I know it’s not a perfect experience, but it’s more than good enough for me.

Personally, I just don’t see any point in developing anything for closed platforms like MacOS or iOS.

At the end of the day, you’re just making Apple more money for free, on very bad terms. They have all the control; you’re just an unpaid intern.

Who knows when Apple will stop supporting half the libraries your project relies on?

Instead, you can develop for open platforms, which genuinely makes the world a slightly better place. In addition to you having a guarantee the project won’t have to shut down overnight.

So the European Comission will not act on the Stop Destroying Videogames initiative, because it wants to focus on deregulation, because apparently current regulations are too much of a burden on businesses (source needed).

And the same European Comission is perfectly fine implementing new regulations for the purposes of… ruining everything for everybody and establishing close to the most totalitarian regime in existence right now?

See, there’s always space for new regulation, as long as it benefits the oligarchs, and nobody else but the oligarchs!
