I’ve been obsessed with Look Outside, it’s a fantastic indie survival horror / JRPG that manages the blend the two into something spectacular.
The basic premise is that a cosmic horror entity is mutating anyone that looks outside, leaving you trapped in your apartment trying to survive along with anyone else left sane. The pixel art is gorgeous, it’s a surprisingly funny game, and has a ton of heart. For a cosmic horror story, this game clearly loves humanity and all our weird quirks. I finished the game a couple days ago & am currently working on getting the most difficult ending in the game now that I know how to optimize my routes. It’s on sale rn for $6, highly recommend
Also planning on replaying Ghost Master on GoG. My siblings & I had a blast playing it growing up, excited to revisit.
I’ll probably be returning to voices of the void (it’s free!), a game in which you are a space noise signal researcher high in the remote areas of the Swiss Alps. Every day you get up, interpret received signals, and probably have to adjust one of the off site satellite dishes.Various events occur, and, for the most part, if you go out of your way to do your job during the day and sleep at night, you probably won’t see many “horror” elements. But that’s not how it always goes…
Grim Dawn, i’m back to my arpg addiction
I’m going to run through a few Resident Evils until I get sick of them starting with finally finishing Village, then probably looping back around to the 1-3 remakes.
I’m also thinking about starting Shadow Hearts, which I never played back in the day. I’ve heard it’s good, but the ring system has always put me off trying it. I’ll have to see how it actually plays before I know if I can commit to it.
I absolutely love replaying the og RE2 in October, it delivers such a great b-movie horror experience
