I think they mean that drivers ignore crosswalks. I also first assumed they meant pedestrians ignore crosswalks, but in the context that doesn’t make any sense.

Some drivers not only ignore, but accelerate to pass before the cyclist or the pedestrian “claims” the crosswalk 🤷
