    Yes, but when in the rare cases when you need to make 900km+ in a day, you really need that ability

    So rent a gas car.

    This stupid argument is why grown men drive huge pickups with pristine beds to office jobs, in case they need to move a couch every 7 years.

    You can rent a van or pickup for $20.

      You cannot be serious.

      I’m not buying a car I can’t take on holiday with me, that’s just ridiculous. Especially considering it would spend most of the trip sitting around at a campsite.
