Just wondering as ive been told many os’s online and then told to not use certain one aswell, i feel confused on what linux os to try someday. i come from windows 10 and i always find i need windows on atleast 1 device, and put linux on the “outdated” devices, but i keep hoping around, i cant seem to make up my mind.

You mention hopping, but you don’t say what you have already tried, what you dislike about them, and what you mainly want it for, or your hardware config.
Hopefully you have already settled on a Desktop Environment or WM) though?
Ignore everyone who suggests ubuntu, mint, or debian; even though that will be many people (except for the debian suggestion, which is not a common suggestion, and it’s bizarre that someone has already suggested that).
Understand that most people will just suggest what they use, even if they have little experience with other distros, many of these people just went with what is marketed well, but they will often be adamant fans of it anyway.
It’s easier to remove ones that you do not like (for whatever reason), to reduce the options. That might be to do with: gui vs terminal focused, where they are from, their politics, commercialisation, their community attitude, ai, whatever. I would suggest trying to pick a base (arch, fedora, debian, ubuntu etc) and work from there. Something like the advanced search on https://distrowatch.com/ can help with that
Yeah good advice, ignore anyone who actually recommends a distro. Only listen to the person whose only advice is what not to do. The only valid distro is the hypothetical perfect Linux distro that exists in your head.
Why/how would I recommend a distro to someone who has used multiple distros, but doesn’t even bother saying what they are, what they didn’t like about them, or what they are looking for?
Looking for the best distros to start with is like looking for the best youtube tech channels, you do not get a list of the best, you get a list of the biggest, that are recommended because they are the biggest, that just become bigger because of that.
Flavour of the week distros are also a thing, zombies following each other and trashtubers to a distro, and then claiming it is the best ever.
mint is the 1st distro I used, it is terrible, and backwards. I looked at it again a couple of months ago, it still sucks.
debian… seriously?
ubuntu, that has a certain amount of merit, partially as just a reasonable way to test different DE’s via kubuntu, xubuntu, lubuntu etc, and partially because a lot of sites online give instructions for ubuntu
You can just recommend something you think is good, but again, there is no such thing in your head. The only good distro to you is the one that doesn’t exist.
yeah, I’m posting this from an abacus
again failing to prove me wrong by simply saying what distros you think are good
