So this guy (allegedly) almost got run over, blocked the car until the passenger got out and touched him, called the cops and got them arrested. Great it worked for him, I guess.

Almost got run over, probably then wanted to take a picture of the plate (using his video camera which smart tbh so no blurry photo). Was probably going to report the incident and a near miss and reckless driving.

I suppose in that few seconds the woman freaks our and exists the car to stop him from recording and gathering info.

I would do the same tbh, but I generally always record at all busy intersections either when I am walking with my phone, or driving with my dashcam.

Nah, he clearly can’t decide which way he wants to go and tries to stay in front of the car. This is what it looks like to me. I don’t mind it, it’s great it worked for him. It’s just dangerous.

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m just glad he didn’t end up with permanent brain damage like the other guy. Escalating situations like that can be dangerous.

When society chooses to ignore and not call out bad behavior in the first place, then you get repeats as there are no negative consequences.

The woman is leaving in the back of a cop car and this guy isn’t, and the only footage we have shows her getting confrontational with him while he asks her to stop. What reason do you have to doubt his side of the story?

My guess is she was arrested for assault, not for “almost running him over”. It’s probably how it all started but it’s not in the video so it’s alleged.

It sometimes takes a while for people to figure out how provisional the honorary white card is.

This sounds like Canada though, don’t know what the sitch is there, but it seems more comfortably multicultural than the US.

        Looks like Brampton Ontario Canada.

I am surprised though the cops logically shorted out what happened. Though I do suspect the driver did not get a single slap on the wrist for almost fatally running over a pedestrian in a clearly marked crosswalk. Looks like the driver may have been pulling a left turn without slowing and observing first.

Wow it’s like the person recording the video is trying to be bigger asshole than the woman.

Everyone sucks here. Except maybe the driver, who seemed to have realized he fucked up, apologized, and stayed calm throughout the entire time.
