Chick-fil-A is turning down artificial intelligence in its drive-thru lanes, choosing human employee interaction over automated order takers as competitors embrace voice technology.
Come on my dude they are closed on Sunday for a reason. I agree that they have fantastic service and it is probably a major reason for their success, but they also have a major share of Christian Nationalists that eat there because they are Christian Nationalist and anti-LGBTQ. Anyway here’s a succinct wiki that outlines their anti-LGBTQ connection and Christian Nationalism:
In June 2021, The Daily Beast reported that the National Christian Charitable Foundation (NCF), to which Cathy is reportedly a major donor, was helping to fund opposition to the Equality Act.
S. Truett Cathy was a devout Southern Baptist; his religious beliefs had a major impact on the company.[56] The company’s official statement of corporate purpose says that the business exists “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”[57] Cathy opposed the company becoming public for religious and personal reasons.[58]
Feel like you almost have to be willfully ignorant to not know about the connection between Chick-fil-a and Christian Nationalism in current year though. Are you just an incredibly uncurious person?
Where do they support that, I’m only familiar with the religious angle.
I’m anti-religion, so it’s kind of a testament towards the business.
