Something I found interesting that deserved a write-up this morning is the blog post from LibreOffice / The Document Foundation on no AI being a feature.
Immich has an LlmMachine Learning Model classify images and makes them.searchable. That is actually useful. However only acceptable because it is completely self hosted and everything stays in my db.
There is exactly one place where I want ai: in its browser window that’s directed at the service of my choice (ideally something self hosted).
I don’t want an ai sidebar.
I don’t want ai search summaries.
I don’t want ai assisted shopping.
I don’t want ai snooping in my photo gallery.
I don’t want ai in my emails.
And I don’t want to watch other people’s slop. I can prompt my own, fuck off.
