I saw a video on spawnwave that talked today about what games people are enjoying in 2026 right now. And the different reactions of different social media/sites.

I personally am loving Wild Blue Skie s. Its just starfox. Thats what I want to play!

BALL x PIT is a whole lot of fun. I didn’t think it would be but it keeps getting better and better.

I also liked FTL back in the day so I picked up Void War . Its like warhammer + FTL and its fantastic.

EDIT: You all are great! Keep them coming! So many games (video games and otherwise) in this list!

        Maybe. The same way I’ll sometimes read a YA book or watch a kids movie. Being aimed at children doesn’t make something inherently bad or unenjoyable. What you enjoy and how you relate to a piece of media can be influenced by any number of things. What you’re going through at work or in your personal life, what you’ve played recently, or watched or read. Maybe it won’t ever click for me, but I don’t mind taking an hour or two every few years to revisit something millions of people love to see if it will.

        In the last couple of years, I’ve enjoyed the GBC Harry Potter games and Wendy Every Witch Way. If I just dismissed things as kid games, I wouldn’t have touched those. And Wendy has actually become a really fun and calming one I go back to often.

        So I guess maybe you do you and I’ll do me and that’s okay?
