Simple guardrails would’ve prevented that, especially in a controlled environment like this where they are pitting LLM-created bots against each other. It’s the same with all the other “hacking” news. Of course an LLM that you allow to roam free and go wild will find a way to get the best results, whatever it takes.
Also, I wonder why they specifically chose Protoss for the LLMs to use.
Lemmy, reddit, and other forum type websites are primarily text based. Microblogging and social media are short form and have plenty of pictures and videos, which catches and retains the attention of users more. Their algorithms are also more intense and curated compared to say reddit’s front page which is more generalized to all its users. Forums mean you have to spend time reading and typing while you can doomscroll and press a reaction button on social media and microblogging.
I don’t think it’s semantics when you’re lumping in “reposting” with “content creators”. Your post seems to imply lemmy’s moderation stifles content creators, when the posts that moderation actions are being applied to are mass reposts of reddit content, not actual organic content created by lemmy users.
You literally said “replace all human labor” though.
