4·1 day agoSame, and exactly all of this. If they want me to do the work that they usually pay someone for, they better offer me a significant discount.

23·1 day agoI’m sure you know the old joke:
How do you spot an extrovert Finn?
When he talks to you, he looks at your shoes instead of his own.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•How many accounts should I have for the fediverse?English
1·2 months agoI didn’t think that Matrix was considered part of the fediverse? Lemmy and Piefed are redundant since their core functionality is very similar, unless the two accounts are to segment your online personas, like politics, NSFW, and everything else. I had never heard of vutuv until now.
Many fediverse platforms do have specialized functionality so it’s beneficial to open an account for them specifically. Here’s a good reference article with guidelines: https://fedi.tips/using-multiple-accounts-on-mastodon-and-the-fediverse/
For opensuse tumbleweed users: Installing wireless-regdb like the instructions in the OP seems to be required in tumbleweed as well. After that, I was able to use ‘sudo iw reg set’ to set the wireless regulatory domain. Before installing wireless-regdb, that command ran but had no effect on the wireless regulatory domain that was set.
Note that the above does not set it permanently. In order to do that, I had to run the following command (replace XX with the desired regulatory domain two-letter code):
echo "options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=XX"|sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/cfg80211.conf
